Hospital paramedic, Nohelys worked in health system in Venezuela. With the crisis, even employed, she couldn’t buy at least a basic food basket to feed her two sons: Antonio, 13 years old, and Valentina, only 2 years old.
Single mother, she come to Brazil with her two children. She walked more than 62 miles with them to Boa Vista, in Roraima’s state. She slept on streets. In January, she was shelter by “São Vicente 2” reception center, where Refúgio 343 maintains operation, and now she waits for an opportunity of interiorization.
In august, Nohelys will complete 44 years old and has only one birthday wish: to give her children a new home.
