Refuge 343 launches the 2025 Solidarity Reception program

The methodology that led to the organization's foundation takes on a new format and seeks to consolidate a humanitarian model of reception.

Refúgio 343, a humanitarian organization dedicated to the socioeconomic reintegration of refugees and migrants, launches today the Acolhimento Solidário 2025 program, which aims to connect Brazilian volunteers to host refugee and migrant families and support them in socioeconomic reintegration until they become independent.

To apply for the program and make a difference in a family's life, a person must form a foster family of at least five friends or family members who will take full responsibility for a family, including housing, employment, health care, and all costs until they receive their first salary. In this way, the foster families will gradually be given new responsibilities.

After the application, a rigorous selection process is carried out for approval. The host group enters a queue of interested parties and in a few weeks will be connected with refugee families for a mutual interview. From that moment on, the organization supports the family's relocation to the destination city and monitors the commitment to socioeconomically reintegrate them into society!

“That’s how Refúgio was born and grew. Understanding that we’re not going to save the world, but that it’s brilliant when we take on what’s within our reach.”

Says Fernando Rangel, founder of the organization.

The unique model, which is recognized internationally, has already won the Best NGOs and Social Entrepreneur awards from Folha de São Paulo.

To apply, the host leader must complete a form which is available on the Refúgio 343 website and social media, and wait to be called by the responsible team for an interview.
